The Tim Jordan Story

Six years in the making, in his own words

More than just sales

Tim never thought he’d own a business or be in sales, and he wasn’t sure he’d be good at it. But before he ever sold a shed, he was a customer. He bought a 10×20 cabin himself, and that’s what makes it easy. He tells customers exactly that.

“I had to build up a little confidence. But after selling a few sheds, you got the hang of it. You get to know the business, you get to know the product. It just all kinda comes together.” Six years in now, and a Graceland dealer since 2022, he treats every customer as their own story.

“It’s more than just sales.
It’s really believing in the product.”

Tim bought his own building before he ever sold one so he speaks from the same side of the counter. He’ll measure your yard, talk through ideas and help you picture what fits.

A kid at heart

When Tim finished the cabin office at the Lake Stevens home base, where it all started, he built a train that goes around the whole ceiling. He wanted it fun, a piece of him in the space so he could watch trains run while he sold buildings.

That passion is more than decoration. He uses his love for trains to promote the hobby, “but I’m able to use the dealership as a vessel to promote the business,” showing the community who Sheds Plus is. It brings people in. “I’m a kid at heart, so I just absolutely love that.”

Stopped the show

“The train show is what I’m about.” So Tim had a custom Seahawk-colored shed built and put it right up front, the first thing you saw. The show drew a record crowd of over four thousand people.

They stepped inside, saw the layout, and realized it all lived in a shed. “It blows people’s minds away with the railroad and being able to bring a shed into a show.” Inside there’s a whole little world: a husband-and-wife sidewalk scene, a Bigfoot in the mountain, a ’67 Chevelle getting its welding and exhaust worked on.

VW bus cruising

One of Tim’s favorite touches is a miniature Volkswagen bus painted in the Sheds Plus colors and logo. He cruises it around local car shows, including Cruzin’ to Colby, one of Snohomish County’s biggest, which he also sponsors.

The bus even carries a scannable barcode. People scan it, land right on the website and get to know who we are and what we do. It’s a fun, one-of-a-kind way to put Sheds Plus into the conversation all across the community.

Local community sponsorships

Tim backs the Everett AquaSox with a Sheds Plus billboard in the outfield grass seating. “People say, oh, I saw your billboard” at the ballpark, he says, and he loves that connection with the community.

Add the Walk for Apraxia and his support for local 4-H, and Tim just feels blessed to be able to give back. “I can’t say anything other than that.”

A proud Graceland dealer

Tim couldn’t be more grateful to represent Graceland Portable Buildings. Between the training, the people and the resources at his disposal, he says he has everything he needs to take care of every customer.

“I’m so blessed to be a Graceland dealer for what they provide,” he says, “some of the best buildings out there.” That confidence in the product is the same one he passes on to every person who walks onto one of his lots.

Sink a putt, save $100

At the Lynnwood lot, Tim puts a fun spin on buying a shed. Customers get three chances to sink a putt, and if they make it, they putt their way to $100 off their building.

He’s already got some great videos of customers sinking it and winning the discount. “We have fun with that,” Tim says. It’s exactly the kind of experience that makes people remember Sheds Plus.

“We have fun with that, and I’m pretty excited for it.”
